Social Anxiety Forums

Social anxiety is one of those mental disorders that prevent you from going on with your life and keep you from achieving your goals. Im sure you should have many questions that you want ask to people that have the same problem as you and has overcome it.

That is why social anxiety support forums are a great way to meet people, ask questions and meet friends without fear of anything. So let me show you the best social anxiety forums on the internet:

http://www.socialanxietysupport.com/forum/index.php

  • This is a big and very active forum, there you can ask for advice, tell your frustrations, read about the different therapies that people have tried, nutrition and supplements that help, positive thinking, help resources and much more.

http://www.socialanxietyforums.com/

  • This is a new and small forum where people discuss how they feel, what their problems are and what is working for them, is very good if you want to have a more personal attention.

http://www.socialanxietyfriends.com/

  • This is a social network like myspace.com for people with social anxiety to make friends and meet others that want to share their experiences and be friendly. Is great if you want to make some friends on the internet.

http://www.shypassions.com/forum/

  • This is another social network for shy people that want to date or meet a partner. Its great if you are looking to meet someone from the opposite sex, they also have their own forum for social anxiety where you can discuss and ask questions without any problem.

http://www.socialphobiaworld.com/forums.html

  • This is one of the biggest forums on social phobia, here people discuss about the differet treatments, ask advice and meet people from other countries like UK, Australia, USA and New Zeland. Very active forum and very recommended if you are looking for information or you have a question.

Those are the most important social anxiety message boards and groups that you can find on the net and you can participate free without any commitment. I recommend that you take a look and see what others are asking and what they experiences are.

Just as an advice, you will see that people tell their experiences with the different drugs and treatments and how they have affected them in a postivite or negative way, before you buy any medication you need to find a physician or psychiatrist and ask for advice and a prescription. Many of the medications and drugs have some side effects so is important to be safe.

Nice article! I've been a visitor to every single one of those forums.

I would also like to include http://www.socialphobiaforum.com/ on your list of best social anxiety forums. It's new and would love new members! :)

This website helped me with my anxiety.

It's a non profit organization that others like me should know about.

Thanks,

Mike

I would just like to add that a particularly good chat site for people who suffer from Social Anxiety is Social Anxiety Support Chat (SASC)( http://www.socialanxietysupportchat.com/ )

People are very helpful and friendly there and have definitely helped me through some difficult times and I have made some very close friends.

Thanks for the post & sharing this useful links to us , when practiced regularly, activities such as yoga, meditation, and progressive muscle relaxation strengthen the body’s relaxation response – the opposite of the stress response involved in anxiety and panic.

I think it's an excellent idea to post a list of forums for anxiety sufferers. People with social anxiety still want to reach out to others.

I figured it couldnt hurt too mention that at www.ofear.com we are striving hard to provide support and offer information to people with Phobias and Anxiety issues.

The sites that you have mentioned above are certainly great resources :)
